Our UK Recruitment and Partnerships team are dedicated to connecting with and supporting schools and colleges across the Midlands region in delivering a programme of activities both on and off campus.

The student recruitment team here at the University of Wolverhampton are dedicated to supporting schools and colleges to assist learners with their journey to Higher Education

We offer a range of "How to..." talks covering general higher education topics, specifically targeted for year 11 and above. 

  • How to choose a course & the benefits of University
  • How to write a Personal statement
  • How to apply to University
  • How to apply for Student Finance & Budgeting tips

The Student Recruitment team can deliver these in your school or college, as stand alone sessions as part of tutorial groups or subject sessions which can help to support the Gatsby Benchmarks. We can also run these talks as part of your Higher Education events such as careers fairs and parent events.

These talks can be tailored and combined to meet the needs of your students. Please get in touch with us to book these talks and discuss your requirements.

We will be offering a range of subject specific on campus Discovery Days during the academic year.

We offer a range of "Careers in..." talks, exploring different course options and career pathways these can lead to. Currently we offer the following talks, specifically targeted for year 11 and above.

We offer the opportunity for your students to visit our University and get a feel for University life. Your students will have the chance to talk to our student ambassadors about their journey to higher education, their course and their future careers aspirations as well as ask questions. During subject specific sessions, students will have the opportunity to experience a university style lesson and talk to our academic staff. 

We can develop a tailored and bespoke day of activities, which meet the needs of your students. The programme can include;  

  • General higher education talks and workshops 
  • Subject specific recruitment and career talks and workshops 
  • Campus and/or subject facility tours 
  • Student life session with our student ambassadors 

We have a campus in Wolverhampton City Centre, Walsall and Telford and can deliver at one of these locations. Please get in touch to discuss your bespoke programme and which campus would best suit the needs of the day. 

Not only do we offer a range of activities for your students, but we are also here to support teachers and advisers in your roles too. We will keep staff updated on the latest sector developments and deliver activities to ensure you have up to date knowledge to support your students with their transition to HE.  

Teachers and advisers conference 

The student recruitment team deliver two teacher and adviser conferences. For this academic year we are looking to host one in Winter 2021 and Summer 2022.

You are invited to the next University of Wolverhampton Teachers' and Advisers' event taking place at our Wolverhampton City campus. Wednesday 8th December 10.30am till 2pm.

The focus of the event is to provide teachers and advisers with key information to support students through the application process following on from their submission through UCAS. 

We have invited Ahmar Ehsan from Student Finance England to deliver a keynote talk on student finance and funding specifically for care leavers, estranged students and students with disabilities. 

We will also be providing an institutional update on our interview, audition and portfolio guidance and changes to our equivalency testing for English Language and Maths. 

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. We will also reimburse the cost of travel to and from the event for all delegates.

UK Conversion team will provide an update to changes to our interview, portfolio and audition process for applicants applying to health, art performing art  and music courses.

UK Conversion team will provide guidance on our equivalency test provision for students with level 2 English Language and Maths qualifications.

Ahmar Ehsan from Student Finance England will be delivering a keynote talk on financial support for care leavers, estranged students and students with disabilities and providing you with information to support students when making their student finance applications
